  • Barbequed Marinated Flank Steak
    • 1/4 CUP Soy Sauce
    • 2 TBSP Distilled White Vinegar
    • 1/2 CUP Vegetable Oil
    • 3 TBSP Honey
    • 1/2 TSP Ground Ginger
    • 1/2 TSP Garlic Powder
    • 1 1/2 LB Flank Steak
    1. In a blender, combine the soy sauce, honey, vinegar, ginger, garlic powder, and vegetable oil.
    2. Lay steak in a shallow glass or ceramic dish. Pierce both sides of the steak with a sharp fork. Pour marinade over steak, then turn and coat the other side. Cover, and refrigerate 8 hours, or overnight.
    3. Preheat grill for high heat.
    4. Place grate on highest level, and brush lightly with oil. Place steaks on the grill, and discard marinade. Grill steak for 10 minutes, turning once, or to desired doneness.

  • Baked Honey Mustard Chicken
    • 6 WHOLE Skinless, Boneless Chicken Breasts
    • Dash Salt and Pepper to Taste
    • 1/2 CUP Honey
    • 1/2 CUP Prepared Mustard
    • 1 TSP Dried Basil
    • 1 TSP Paprika
    • 1/2 TBSP Dried Parsley
    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
    2. Sprinkle chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste, and place in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the honey, mustard, basil, paprika, and parsley. Mix well. Pour 1/2 of this mixture over the chicken, and brush to cover.
    3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Turn chicken pieces over and brush with the remaining 1/2 of the honey mustard mixture. Bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.

  • Raspberry-Avocado Smoothie
    • 1 WHOLE Avocado, peeled and pitted
    • 3/4 CUP Orange Juice
    • 3/4 CUP Raspberry Juice
    • 1/2 CUP Frozen Raspberries (not thawed)
    1. Combine all ingredients into blender.
    2. Puree to desired consistence.

  • Strawberry Oatmeal Bars
    • 1 3/4 sticks Salted Butter, Cubed (plus more for greasing pan)
    • 1 1/2 CUP All-Purpose Flour
    • 1 1/2 CUP Oats
    • 1 CUP Packed Brown Sugar
    • 1 TSP Baking Powder
    • 1/2 TSP Salt
    • 10-12 OZ. Fresh and Local Strawberry Preserves
    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9-13-inch rectangular pan.
    2. Mix together the butter, flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder and salt. Press half the oat mixture into the prepared pan.
    3. Sprinkle the other half of the oat mixture over the top and pat lightly.
    4. Bake until light brown, 30 to 40 minutes. Let cool completely, and then cut into squares.
